Welcome Back

I hope everyone has had a restful track-out. I am very excited to start the second quarter. I have recently entered your child's Chapter 3 test scores. While some students did an amazing job, a good deal of the students got a few of the explorers mixed up. It is my job to make sure they understand the content, in an effort to ensure this takes place we will be doing test corrections Tuesday October 12. Students will be able to earn back half the points for every question they missed( about 2.5 points). I hope to have the corrections graded and ready to send home in the Wednesday folders.


Don't forget our Field Trip is next Tuesday October 19.

Update

I want to apologize for not updating this site sooner. I am in the process of creating a wiki site that will have more information available. When the site is complete I will share the address in class and post the link to this site as well.The weeks have just been flying by. Please continue to check engrade for an updated report of your child's grades.

On Thursday, September 16th at 6:00 5th Grade will be hosting a parent night in the dinning hall. I want to encourage all 5th grade parents to attend this meeting. We will be going over 5th grade rules and procedures and it will be a great chance to meet Mrs. Holley our new Math teacher.

News

Wow, I can't believe how fast the past few weeks have gone by. I have seen a tremendous changes in all of the 5th graders. They are adjusting to sharing a locker and rotating classes very well.

I just wanted to make sure everyone is aware that we will be having our 1st test in Social Studies on Monday August 16th This test will cover all of the Geography content we have learned so far this 9 weeks.

Study guides will worked on in class on Wednesday and will be completed for homework Wednesday night.
